My Story
At age ten, David DiCanio, was bitten by the “camera bug” and started to study the art of photojournalism. By age fourteen he bought a police scanner and sold his first photograph to his hometown newspaper. Two years later, the family moved to Philadelphia and that opened doors to sell to larger papers—the Camden Courier Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Philadelphia Daily News. By this time, however, God was making it clear that media work was not the right direction for Dave, and so in 1984 he left media work behind and began training for the gospel ministry. But the Lord wasn't through with media work. During his college days, Dave developed an interest in radio, and began hosting a Christian talk show on a local station in his college town.
In the mid 90's digital video was invented, and that began Dave's interest in documentary production.
Currently Dave serves as a mission in Liberia, West Africa, under the Free Presbyterian Church of North America where he manages 92.5 FM, Free Presbyterian Radio in the capital city, Monrovia, and does video production work on the side.
